Warinthorn Phetpraphan and the LOONG: Colorful LOONG Bicycle

November 5, 2026 · RIDER STORIES · LOONG
A Colourful Bike. A Story That Started Long Before It.
A misty roadside, a bright frame and a rider pausing with a smile. It is an easy photograph to enjoy without knowing anything about the person in it. Look a little closer, though, and this LOONG story begins with an athlete whose cycling life reaches back to childhood.
Meet Warinthorn Phetpraphan, also known as Warin, the Thai cyclist featured in today's photographs. Her public athlete profile describes a journey that began at the age of eight in Nakhon Si Thammarat. It also records Asian Junior MTB Championship wins in 2014 and 2015—a background built on far more than an occasional weekend spin.

The Rider Comes Before the Bicycle
Those early mountain bike achievements are part of Warin's sporting history. They are not results claimed for the LOONG pictured here. Keeping that distinction matters: a rider brings years of learning, preparation and experience to every new bicycle.
What these photographs add is another side of that story. There is the athlete, and there is the person enjoying a stop, sharing a road with another rider or standing beside a bicycle as the light changes. A competitive background and a love of simply being outside can comfortably belong to the same cycling life.

From a Frameset to Something Personal
The workshop photograph offers a particularly good starting point. Warin stands behind the multicoloured LOONG frameset, its turquoise front end, orange lower section and purple rear triangle easy to recognise. In the riding images, those same colours connect the finished bicycle to that earlier moment.
There is something satisfying about seeing both stages. A frame on a workbench invites choices; a complete bike beside the road carries the outcome. The parts matter, but so does the feeling that the bicycle has become recognisably yours.

Road Details Behind the Colour
The LOONG is a Toray T800 carbon road frameset with disc brakes and full internal cable routing. The current specification lists a T47 × 86.5 mm bottom bracket, support for Di2 and mechanical shifting, and tire clearance up to 32C. Those details help define the build options; they do not prescribe a single way to enjoy the finished bike.
Internal routing keeps the cockpit visually tidy, allowing the paint and frame outline to lead the design. The strong blocks of colour do the opposite of blending in. Against grey mist, water or warm evening light, the same bicycle takes on a slightly different mood.

What Makes a Bike Your Bike?
For some riders it is the fit. For others, it is a colour they would recognise across a crowded café stop. Often it is a collection of small things: the first build, a familiar riding partner, a photograph from a route worth remembering.
Warin's LOONG photographs leave room for all of those connections. We do not need to invent a race report or a personal quotation to appreciate them. An accomplished rider, an unmistakable bicycle and a handful of moments away from a results sheet already make a story worth sharing.

What would make your own road build feel personal: the paint, the components or the places you would ride it?
