Take the Long Way Home: City Riding with the LOONG

November 3, 2026 · LIFESTYLE · CITY RIDING
What If Today's Ride Didn't Need a Goal?
No intervals saved on the bike computer. No group to catch. Just a familiar stretch of pavement and enough time to see where it leads. For many of us, that is the ride we keep postponing—and the one we could probably use most.
The blue OG-EVKIN LOONG in these photographs brings that idea into focus: a road bike, a green route and the city still close enough to see. You do not have to leave town to feel a little further away from your routine.

A blue LOONG, a stretch of pavement and room to settle into your own pace.
A Road Bike Beyond the Training Plan
Drop bars can make a bicycle look as though it has somewhere urgent to be. But a road bike can belong just as naturally on an easy afternoon loop. Ride at a pace that leaves room to notice the trees. Stop when something catches your eye. Take the longer route home because you still feel like pedalling.
The LOONG is a carbon road frameset built around Toray T800 carbon fiber, with disc brakes and internal cable routing. Those are useful foundations for a road build; what you do with that build can be wonderfully ordinary. A favourite loop counts. So does a ride that ends at the same café every time.
The Details That Shape Your Everyday Build
For city leisure riding, the interesting specification is not always the one that sounds fastest. The LOONG lists clearance for tires up to 32C, giving a rider scope to consider a wider road tire when planning a build. Actual clearance depends on the tire and rim combination, while pressure, fit and the road surface all influence how the finished bike feels.
It also supports both Di2 and mechanical shifting. That leaves room to choose a setup around your preferences and the components you want to use. The frameset is the starting point; the cockpit position, saddle and tires help make it yours.

The skyline stays in view. The ride gets a little more breathing room.
When the Bicycle Becomes Part of the View
Look at the second photograph: blue frame, soft greenery and tall buildings in the distance. The bicycle connects those two worlds visually. Its colour stands out without needing a busy backdrop, while the internally routed cockpit keeps the front of the build visually tidy.
That is an appealing way to think about bicycle design. There is the machine you examine closely, and the silhouette you recognise as it passes. A bike you enjoy looking at can give you one more small reason to take it outside.
Where Would You Take the Long Way Home?
An enjoyable city loop does not need to be impressive on a map. Look for connected paved routes, quieter streets and places where cycling is permitted. Leave time for a stop, ride considerately around others and let the route suit the day.
What makes you choose a leisure ride: a green stretch of road, a coffee stop or simply an hour with no particular destination?
Explore the OG-EVKIN LOONG carbon road frameset and imagine the everyday route you would build it for.
